Conversion runs in your browser. Your transcripts, contracts and client files never pass through a server.
Open the page, drop the file, get the result. No email to hand over, no queue.
CSV files from French-language Excel (semicolons, “12,5”, Windows-1252 accents) are handled without any fiddling.
No. Files are read and converted in your browser's memory. Once the page has loaded, you can even disconnect and keep converting.
Excel often opens CSV files with the wrong encoding. Passerelle adds a UTF-8 marker to the CSV files it produces and reads files in UTF-8 or Windows-1252 automatically.
“Editable text” mode keeps the text, images, bold, italics, sizes and centring, but not tables or columns. “Identical look” mode reproduces each page exactly, as a non-editable image. A scanned PDF has no text to extract.
No limit is imposed. The only constraint is your device's memory: files of several hundred MB can slow down a phone.
